HB&S Industries exists because the commercial side of construction works better when it's run by people who understand the construction itself.
HB&S Industries Pty Ltd is a boutique commercial and contracts consultancy founded and led by Josh Ashdown, a Bachelor-qualified civil engineer with around a decade in major construction across infrastructure and buildings.
Josh's career spans the full arc of project delivery: engineer in the field, project manager, and then the complete commercial and contract management function on some of Australia's largest infrastructure programs. He has worked on the head contractor side and the subcontractor side, upstream and downstream — which means he has argued claims from both ends of the table and knows exactly what the other side will test.
That combination is the point of the business. A claim is only as good as the technical story underneath it, and a negotiation is only as strong as the position behind it. HB&S Industries brings both: the engineering literacy to build a claim that is strong, robust and defensible, and the commercial experience to carry it through negotiation to resolution — leading the strategy from your side of the table, and joining you in the room whenever you want the support.
